With its goal of educating business people to acquire advanced skills and also meet today’s domestic needs, the Business School aims at offering “well-rounded and international education”. The school tries to foster compound talents in people who will have basic business theoretical knowledge, and a wide background related to their specialty and practical ability.

Standing at the forefront of the Yangtze Delta and making use of the academic advantages of Jiangnan University, its Business School has developed a multilateral teaching system called “government-industry-university-research-practice”, a sino-foreign global education platform, with flexible curriculum of general education, a specialized professional skills training platform based on practical ability and a four-fold tutor system.

The four-year undergraduate education now offers 5 majors: Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, International Business and Trade, and Industrial Engineering. The first two years mainly focus on general education and the remaining two years on professional education. The school also promotes a global form of undergraduate education by collaborating with overseas universities on short-term study tour and exchange programs.

Accounting

Objective

This major attaches great importance to cultivating high level financially talented people who have the basic all-round proficiency of an accountant, and are willing to engage in accounting, audit and financial management work in enterprises or institutions. With it, students may qualify for graduate education.

Business Administration

Objective

This major fosters professionals as they master economic and management knowledge and methods of business management, while showing creative ability and communication skills. The students should be familiar with ways of solving management problems through various qualitative and quantitative approaches. They should also keep in tune with the times, capable of dealing with their own preliminary scientific research, and gaining hands-on experience. They are competent in the management of enterprises, institutions and government departments.

Finance

Objective

The principles underlying this major are to lay solid foundations, strengthen skills, and broaden horizons; it adopts a “mathematical knowledge-financial theory-software operation-practice” teaching method. It aims to cultivate all-round compound creative talents with a global view of the acquisition of modern financial knowledge.

International Business and Trade

Objective

This major integrates profound professional knowledge with computational, statistical and accounting skills. The students learn about the economic development of some major countries and regions, as well as trade policies and laws, and thus acquire wide knowledge, firm basic theory and advanced skills.

Industrial Engineering

Objective

With a policy of high-quality entrants and development-oriented teaching, this major focuses on the combination of engineering technology, management skills and a global standpoint.
